Be the Change Charleston, Inc. was founded in 2019 by Halie Tumbleston & Shaina Bermudez.

After working in both public education & private therapy for children & adolescents with disabilities, they worked together to develop the framework for Be the Change. They are currently developing a virtual individualized employment skill development program called Empowerment through Employment.

We do not tolerate discriminatory conduct against groups or individuals of people on the basis of race, color, nationality, ethnic origin, ancestry, age, religion, disability, sex, gender identity &/or expression, sexual orientation, or military or veteran status.  Discrimination offends our core values.  All Be the Change Charleston employees, volunteers, participants, & community members are required to uphold our commitment to inclusion, respect, & intersectionality.
